You Light Up My Life....

Okay, so today I have something on - not only 1 curious being.... but 4 curious beings! <3 *sighs* You guys, please - stroll down!!!

1st, pirates! Why? Long story!
Available for $9.95 at Amazon.com!

2nd, mermaids! Why? Well, they remind me a lot of pirates, you know, because both of them have that sea/ocean theme going on. <3 I really do like this switch plate - but mostly just because of it's soft focus, dusty colors.

Also available for 9.95 at Amazon.com!

3rd, dragons! Why? Honestly, idk.... But why not, lol? <3 I simply just like this one; I find it very curious, indeed.

Available for $11.75 at Amazon.com!

4th (last but not least), unicorns! Why? Because unicorns remind me a lot of dragons, lol - both of them fly, after all.... I think? Hmm, can unicorns fly? Anyway, I really like this one, as well; the colors are bright in a soft-ish way - and the whole picture just looks so happy!

Haha, available for $9.95 at Amazon.com!

Loads of Treasure.

Whoa, I found so much stuff on pirates today, lol. <3 I'm not going to throw all of it on one post tho', but I definitely will post a few of the things that I find, so please - stroll down the page a bit, you guys!

Not only is this a pirate - but it's a skeleton, too!!! <3 I just find this clock quite cool, so I thought I'd share it with those of you who may have never even seen it before. *smiles* Haha, available for $24.95 at Amazon.com!

.... Arrr!

*sighs* Wow, I just love how inexpensive these little charms are. I mean, really - you could buy all four of these for under $5.00.... It's just awesome, lol. <3

They're in the Petunias Again!

*sighs* It's so hard for me to found curious things on gnomes - just as hard as finding curious things on vampires....

Okay, so is it just me - or are these knitted gnomes simply adorable, lol?

Here's how the game works: the garden gnomes find a way into the petunias. It's the player's job to catch all of the garden gnomes before they ruin all of the flower beds.... Sounds cute? <3 Includes a red rainbow colored catching bag + 5 colorful craft gnomes. Age suitable for babies 6 months and older.

"Knitted Travelling Gnomes with Bag from Yellow Label Kids"

Available for $31.99 at Oompa.com!

I Saw a Mysterious Unicorn in the Darkness....

Hiya, guys! <3 I just found something quite nice on unicorns, so please - take a look!

I just love the artwork on this lamp; so cute but in a mysterious (and curious!) kind of way, you know?

It's a "touch lamp," you gently touch or tap or rub it (like a genies lamp!), and it turns on auto-magic-ally. <3

If some of you would like to have a closer look at this lovely lamp - feel free to click here.

Available for $39.99 at FingerHut.com!

Rapscallion, Radical, Reef, Rope's end, Row....

The Pirate Encyclopedia T-shirt is a visual depiction of a letter that people have long know pirates to be fond of.

Actually, I didn't know it. I though it was just a sound they made and in that sounds standard spelling, it begins with a "A." Like, "Arrrr!!" - right? I even checked out multiple online pirate dictionaries (here, here and here) and the like and my findings are in fact yielding the sassy and sophisticated letter "S" as the favorite of pirates, by far.

But, whatever, it's on this shirt so it's obviously factual.

Sneakers From the Sea!

Okay, okay - I know, I know.... I created a post on shoes, recently, but I felt as if these shoes had to go up on the blog!!! I could have posted about them later, but there hasn't been a post on mermaids for a while now, and this was the curiousest mermaid product I could find. *sighs* Oh, and the other shoes were platforms - these are hi tops, alright? Alright!

The "Mermaids! Black Red Hi Top Women's Vegan Sneakers" are available for only $24.99 at Amazon.com!

See, aren't you guys happy I posted about these, lol? I love the colors - they're so stylish. Oh, but in case you're more into softer/lighter colors, don't worry; I've got something for you, as well.... Please, stroll down the page a bit, and take a look yourself! <3

I think I preferred the brighter/darker ones, but really, I like these, as well - very cute. <3 Also available for $24.99 at Amazon.com! P.S. they're both Vegan!!! Isn't that simply wonderful? *sighs*

For Valentine's Day

If you feel like Valentine's Day (the 14 for those of you who don't know) has steamrollered it's way all up on you and you have a Valentine you want to get something super-duper special, you can never go wrong (nor put yourself in a soon-to-be much regretted debt) with some chocolate or a stuffed animal.

These super fancy-dance-y Teddy Bear Truffles may be just what your searching for. At $15 buckaroos they are certainly a little more "spend-y" than most of the stuff you'll find at your local drugstore (and hey, really, chocolate is chocolate, right?) but if it's a  miniature bear made of  "Mayan ganache of milk chocolate, cinnamon and crushed roasted almonds" plus holding little a "ivory chocolate heart dusted with a sprinkle of crystallized sugar" go for it.

If I had a Valentine, I'm not sure if I'd get these for him or not, though. My name is Teddie and that's is a bit cheesy. But, I'm frequently cheesy, so my Valentine probably would expect it and wouldn't think much of it.

Because Sharing Shows Caring.

Over on one of the best-ie-est stores ever, ThinkGeek, there is a robot that cares deeply about the way you listen to your tunes. Not so much what you listen to but the way you do. Splitterbot wants to help you spread the love.

It enables you to use two pair of headphones connected to one device. So you can share what's on you MP3 or and audio device.

From the product description:

Product Features
  • Mini Robot hangs from your keychain and allows you to share music from one audio device with two people
  • Pop off his head for audio sharing goodness
  • Works with any standard headphones and portable music player
  • Headphones not included
  • No batteries required

I'm going to admit, I can't say there have been tons of times when I've been listening to my headphones and I thought to myself "Aw, I wish so-and-so could listen to this with me, ugh! Solo audio experiences make me so mad." (and if I really, really meant it we'd both uncomfortably share the headphones).

BUT there have been a couple of times I've thought that. I honestly think that if I actually had my own Splitterbot, in my possession, I'm confident it would inspire me to recognize many more opportunities and occasions for sharing the noise.

Have Your Own (Jade) Dragon!

Oh, hi, you guys! I'm glad you're here; I have something, actually a couple of things, I'd like to share with all of you. <3 As I was glancing at the tags, I noticed that this blog has only had 1 post on dragons. Ted and I have had this blog for.... over a month now, and we've only got 1 post up on dragons. Dragons are very curious beings, in my opinion, and so, I decided to do something about it - I decide to do something about it quickly, because the fact that dragons only have 1 post up on this blog.... just isn't right.
Behold - dragons!!! "Jade Craved Dragon Pendant in 18K Gold over Sterling Silver"

Isn't this curious?

It looks more like a seahorse than a dragon to me, but dragon is in the title, so yeah, it's a dragon.... which means this is another post up for dragons - w00t! <3

The fact that this looked like a seahorse (to me) actually lead me to the wikipedia page on seahorses, which caused me to discover "dwarf seahorse" - aww, they're so tiny and cute! If some of you are interested, you know, I left that link there for you guys - feel free to check it out, lol.

Oh, and the "
Jade Craved Dragon Pendant in 18K Gold over Sterling Silver" is available for $89.99 at Kmart.com!

Facts on the Jacks.

For this "101" I skipped over the Lumberjack page on Wikipedia and cherry picked some basics.

Here is an intro into the world of Lumberjacks:

10)Lumberjacks are known today as "loggers." Were starting this thing off nice and slow. lol

9)Lumberjacks could be found wherever there were vast forests to be harvested and a demand for wood, most likely in Scandinavia,Canada, and northern parts of the United States.

8) At first, Lumberjacks were exclusively men.

7)A female logger is called a Lumberjill. Lumberjack and Lumberjill went up the hill to fetch some logs...

6)Lumberjacks worked in lumber camps and often lived a migratory life, following timber harvesting jobs as they opened.

5)The most famous depiction of a lumberjack in folklore is Paul Bunyan. Several towns claim to have been the home of Paul Bunyan and have statues of Bunyan and his ox "Babe" in the town.

4)In popular culture, the stereotypical lumberjack is a strong, burly, usually bearded man who lives to brave the natural environment. He is depicted wearing suspenders, a long-sleeved plaid flannel shirt, and heavy boots. He is often depicted as being very hungry and eating a large stack of flapjacks or pancakes. He works by cutting down trees with either an axe or with the help of another lumberjack, a crosscut saw.

I personally adore suspenders, flannel and pancakes.

3)Many colleges have woodsmen teams or forestry clubs, which compete regionally, nationally, and internationally.

2)There are also lumberjack shows which tour the United States, demonstrating these old time lumber practices to the general public. Loggers' rodeos are also held in some towns which demonstrate these events to the public.

1)The Lumberjack World Championships have been held annually in Hayward, Wisconsin, since 1960. Over twelve thousand visitors come to this small northern Wisconsin town each year in late July to watch men and women compete in 21 different events, including log rolling, chopping, timed hot (power) saw and bucksaw cutting, and pole climbing.

Zombies Go Veg!

Want a new mouse pad? A curious new mouse pad? No worries - I got just the thing for you. As I was searching the web for zombies, I came across something I found very unique. <3 Please, feel free to stroll down the page a bit in order to see for yourself.

Grains! <333 Haha, I love vegetarian zombies! It's nice to know that there are some zombies out there who would prefer to eat grains - rather than brains, lol. For a while, I thought all zombies ate brains - but I guess not! I mean, after all, a picture's worth a 1000 words, right? Right!?!? Alright! <3 I, myself, am actually a vegetarian, so yeah.... I would probably be a vegetarian zombie, I guess - that is, if I were to ever become a zombie someday, lol. Available for only $11.45 at Zazzle.com!

Oh, and since we're discussing how cool vegetarian zombies are - I thought I'd throw in this t-shirt. <3
*gasp* More grains!!! Oh yeah!!! Haha, okay, so this right here is also available at Zazzle.com, but for $23.80.... Hmm, not bad for a vegetarian zombie t-shirt - not bad at all.

Get a Skull-A-Day

Everybody loves those ridiculously creative(some say stupid) memes which are ideas that we can't believe someone actually thought of. But this is one of those one's that you can believe somebody thought of because it's a thing that sort of a half-trend - something that's around but you still get really giddy when you stumble on to it.

May I introduce to you (unless, of course, you've heard of it before) Skull-A-Day. It is exactly what it sounds like. A blog that'll give you your daily skull fix. And the do what they do quite well. Some of my picks for best of the blogs recent post.

What's a Teenage Vampire Girl to Wear!?!?

Hiya, what's up, you guys? I just found something quite curious on vampire - which I'm thrilled about because I can never seem to find anything really curious on vampires. *sighs* Like, whenever I search the web for interesting vampire stuff - idk, I just oftentimes find costumes and stuff like that. Costumes are great and everything, but there are so many of them out there, you know? I wanted to find something hidden on vampires, like something none of you guys have ever, ever, ever seen before!!! Hehe, okay, um, you know what? I think it's time I put a lid on it and just tell you guys what it is that I found....

Stylish, huh? <3 These adorable "Vampire - Black Lace-up Platform" are available for $58.99 at BelloIris.com, and guess what - they're vegan! <3 Hooray!

Ooh, here they are with a bit of red! <3 I thought I'd post these, as well - since I kind of feel as tho' they have more vampire-ness going on. Plus, I just like these better, lol, so yeah. Available at the same exact store as the other ones (for the same exactly!) - click here for a closer look at them. <3

Sugar Skulls

Many people have heard of the Mexican holiday the Day of the Dead(wiki page for more information if you want it). I think it's one of the raddest holiday's ever. I'm a tad bit obsessed with the sugar skulls that are traditionally made in celebrating this holiday. I think they're one of the most interesting and beautiful things. I haven't posted anything on them on this blog before so I thought I'd start what will probably become a big topic around here. I've never made them before, nor have I thought of doing so. I stumbled onto this recipe while looking for Mexican food recipes and it's sounds like it'd be a toy-car-load of fun to make. Recipe on about.com

Also check out the kits on MexicanSugarSkull.com for, you know, sugar skull kits and stuff. This blogger's step-by-step use of a kit is nifty as well.

Sweet Little Teddies!

Greetings, curious explorers! <3 It's been 2 weeks since I've posted anything on this blog - apologies to anyone who cares, lol. *sighs* I know, it's just a blog - and it seems like blogging would be one of the easiest jobs on earth. It's not even just the blogging part tho'.... it's the trying to promote it part, as well. It can get pretty exhausting, but I refuse to quit - at least not this early. I'm going to stop whinny about how complicated it can be, and I'm going to start focusing on how I cannot give up.

Okay, so here are some curious products I wrangled up on teddy bears - enjoy (hopefully). <3

"Teddy Bear Muffin Pan by Cookez" allows you to bake muffins that are teddy bears (and teddy bears that are muffins....). *winks* Available for only $9.99 at Amazon.com!

Can't bake without an apron! <3 Okay, so maybe you can, lol - but c'mon, you guys know what I mean....

Ooh, and you've gotta have a matching mug to go with your adorable apron - you've just gotta!
