Sugar Skulls

Many people have heard of the Mexican holiday the Day of the Dead(wiki page for more information if you want it). I think it's one of the raddest holiday's ever. I'm a tad bit obsessed with the sugar skulls that are traditionally made in celebrating this holiday. I think they're one of the most interesting and beautiful things. I haven't posted anything on them on this blog before so I thought I'd start what will probably become a big topic around here. I've never made them before, nor have I thought of doing so. I stumbled onto this recipe while looking for Mexican food recipes and it's sounds like it'd be a toy-car-load of fun to make. Recipe on

Also check out the kits on for, you know, sugar skull kits and stuff. This blogger's step-by-step use of a kit is nifty as well.
